Habitat Creation Project

Ecohab has recently worked with Spacehub Design Ltd on an exemplary landscaping scheme for a new build oast house in Kent.  Ecohab advised on native woodland creation of local character (W8 and W10 NVC woodland types), hedgerow planting and integrated habitat features for birds and bats within the ragstone walls of the buildings.  The landscaping around the house was designed to benefit local wildlife and gained the client maximum landscape and ecology credits for Code for Sustainable Homes.

Ecohab have worked with Verdant Solutions, HAP Architects and Wycombe District Council on a number of habitat creation schemes to enhance river corridor habitat along the River Wye, High Wycombe, for priority chalk stream species.  We provided advice on planting of native marginal plants, widening of the river corridor and in stream enhancements such as large woody debris.  Ecohab undertook consultation with the Environment Agency to gain necessary consents and approval of planning applications.
